25% more tyre life with Continentals
Les Smith Haulage is achieving 25% more tyre life with Continentals. Since switching tyres over 100,000km is being achieved on front steer tyres and 400,000km on the rear axle.
As well as switching to Continentals Les Smith is continuing its programme of daily visual checks and safety inspections every six weeks which includes tyre tread.
Hauliers using Axscend Trailer Management can plan and report on inspections, servicing and MOT's and carefully schedule off-road time for tyre changes and other servicing requirements. Fleets that are regularly inspected and maintained are more efficient, and Hauliers working in this way reduce their exposure to fines or unexpected repair bills.
