Operator recognised for environmental efficiencies

The South Yorkshire ECO Stars scheme has awarded a five-star rating to Archbold Logistics. By lowering environmental impact through measures such as using lower-polluting HGV’s and reducing fuel use, operators can be recognised by the ECO Stars scheme. Archbold signed up to the scheme partly for marketing and partly for benchmarking and were pleasantly surprised at how well they are already doing.
Operators looking to reduce their environmental impact can turn to solutions such as Axscend Trailer Management to optimise fleet utilisation, save costs, save money and reduce their environmental impact. By using satellite tracking and load monitoring operators can have a visible trailer fleet. This will identify opportunities to reduce the number of trips needed, therefore reducing fuel usage.
