What is special about the data collection unit (DCU)?

Three different location technologies can be called upon to calculate the trailer’s position, meaning the chances of a position update from your trailer are higher than any other trailer-tracking device on the market.
Position updates and load data are sent by GSM giving near global coverage. GSM is used by over 3 billion people and more than 212 countries and territories worldwide.
The DCU is fitted with a 433Mhz transmitter offering FREE position and load updates when a trailer is parked at or enters/leaves a depot.
The built-in motion sensor can be used to throttle the frequency of positional and load weight updates. For example can be set up to send more when on the move than when stationary for maximum battery life and accuracy.
The DCU can be programmed to report by time interval, every time the doors are opened or by when the load weight of the trailer changes. In fact there are 100’s of different combinations, we’ll help you select the program that’s right for you.
Settings and updates to the GPS device are made remotely from axscend.com.
