Maximise 'Uptime' with TrailerMaster
Maximise your trailers 'uptime' with our Axscend | TrailerMaster solution featuring our patented Electronic Brake Performance Monitoring System (EBPMS®). Monitor every brake event of a trailer, live, whilst in normal operation. Continuous, 'in service' monitoring of trailer brakes via an EBPMS® solution is a recognised alternative to Roller Brake Testing by the DVSA and is included in the latest ‘Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness’.
Axscend | TrailerMaster provides independent brake monitoring insights and can be fitted to any articulated semi-trailer with an Electronic Braking System (EBS), It can be installed to new trailers and retrofitted to your existing fleet (*some exceptions apply) making it a truly flexible solution for your whole fleet.
Axscend | TrailerMaster Features:
Track & Trace
Full GPS tracking or your trailers with auditable journey log. Identify trailer location, if its connected to a tractor unit and moving with the touch of a button. Create 'POI' geofences with ease and be alerted to trailers arriving or departing.
Proactively manage your trailer fleet & never lose a trailer again.
EBPMS®
EBPMS® offers dynamic, live monitoring of your trailers brake performance whilst in service.
Continuous monitoring of trailer brakes via an EBPMS® solution is a recognised alternative to 'Roller Brake Testing' by the DVSA and is included in the latest ‘Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness’.
EBS Diagnostics & Odometer
Remotely monitor & download EBS odometer and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) messages online, saving on engineer callouts for non-critical issues.
TrailerMaster provides you with real-time information on the status of your trailers EBS and alerts you to any problems.
Axle Load Monitoring
Real-time information on trailer axle weight via your trailers EBS. Identify when your trailer is loaded/unloaded and ensure you remain compliant on payload.
Identify trailers that are travelling empty to optimise your fleet and maximise load to mile ratio.
Utilisation & Performance analysis
Our fleet 'Analysis' screen provides a visual overview of your trailers utilisation.
Understand daily, weekly & monthly utilisation including mileage information ensuring you maximise trailer uptime.
Make informed decisions about your trailer fleet based on facts not feeling.

TPMS
View the tyre pressures of your fleet in real-time. Effective tyre pressure monitoring delivers improved efficiency and safety whilst reducing costs. We are independent of tyre suppliers, therefore we can work with you to ensure you can monitor every single tyre within your trailer fleet.

Frequently asked questions ?
EBPMS continuously monitors the brake performance of a trailer and reports it to the EBPMS user via a telematics system. The system must comply with the EBPMS Industry Standard Specification, as issued by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
EBPMS makes use of data taken from the trailer’s electronic braking system (EBS) during a braking event. It combines this with data from the telematics system to calculate the change in speed over distance and time and determine a deceleration rate for that braking event. The data is then transmitted to the telematics servers. Once processed, the data becomes available as a braking performance report. All braking events are monitored. However, only those that fit certain criteria, making them suitable for reliable analysis, are used to report on braking performance.
Yes, EBPMS is recognised by the DVSA as an alternative to Laden Roller Brake Testing and has been included in DVSA's 'Guide to maintaining roadworthiness'. However, currently the DVSA do not validate or approve individual EBPMS systems.
You will still need to complete at least one RBT at annual MOT Inspection (although tri–axle trailers remain exempt from having to be laden at MOT, it is recommended to carry out all roller brake tests laden to obtain a meaningful result), but yes EBPMS may be used as a means to assess trailer-braking performance and provide a brake performance value while the vehicle is in service. Simply download an EBPMS certificate for your compliance records.
EBPMS does not assess parking brake performance. Please refer to the DVSA publication, ‘Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness’ for the recommended procedure on testing trailer parking brake performance.
Yes, TrailerMaster is designed to work with any trailer with an Electronic Braking System (EBS). All we need are a few details from you like the manufacturer, build year and EBS type. Don't worry if you don't know this, we will work with you to get the trailers up and running.
*some exceptions apply
TrailerMaster can be fitted to any age of trailer, however some very old EBS' do not provide the CAN data we need to support some of our features. If you have a specific question or concern please contact one of the team and we can advise you in more detail.
